SUNNYSIDE–TAHOE CITY, Placer County — Tahoe City Public Utility District scheduled fall 2026 rehabilitation of sewer lines on Fairway Drive and along the northwest side of Tahoe City Golf Course, a project affecting travel and services near the Sunnyside–Tahoe City area.
The utility says the network was largely built in the 1950s and has suffered from cracking, sagging and root intrusion. The project includes both trenchless pipe repairs and conventional excavation. The district originally scheduled construction from September to October 15, with temporary traffic controls and access adjustments possible for nearby properties.
The published work window is now past; it does not by itself prove every repaired section was accepted or that a road closure remains active. If later restoration or warranty work occurs, the utility should issue updated notices. Households should report new backups or service concerns to the utility rather than infer that all local pipes were included.
What residents and visitors should know
The utility project page lists a public affairs contact at 530-580-6291 for questions on construction and customer access.
